How a Newbie Gets Started...

So you've been to a bootcamp or two. And you decided that REI is the path for you.. the best thing sliced bread (and it is...). You even went to some networking seminars. What's your next step?

I'd like to hear how you personally pursued real estate investing, from the moment you decided to charge forward right up to the completion of your FIRST deal. Feel free to include the steps you took, the fears you conquered, the hurdles you faced, and the successes you won.

  • After reading a few books, I took the plunge and bought my first property last year.  Still have it. And now looking to wholesale in Monmouth County.  This discussion appears old, but would welcome partnering with someone while I learn the wholesale process.

  • I was going to ask the same thing Nicole. I just finished cleaning up my credit and now looking to get my feet wet. I was a mortgage banker for 10 years and dealt with developers for most of that time but never did a property all the way thorough. I live in central Jersey (somerset area)..
