I was wondering if Realtytrac a good source to finding and investigating preforeclosures, I'm hearing both positives and negatives. is it worth the additional expense?

this is great! I have been searching a while for this kind of free information. Thanks for sharing. FYI: somehow the realtyrobot.com isn't working... but the other one is great.

I would say no. If you want to find preforeclosures you need to market to lis pendes and be direct with the owner. A good place to find lis pendes lists in NY is Propertyshark. In NJ is nj-lispendes.com or Realtyrobot.com. Send letters and wait for the phone to ring
